Bike Bakersfield
Bike Bakersfield offers a variety of programs and resources to encourage bicycling as a safe, fun and environmentally friendly means of everyday transportation. We work with schools to teach students Safe Routes to School, corporations to reduce the number of cars on the road (and increase the number of bicycles), and gain compliance with Rule 9410.
We also work with individuals in our Bike Kitchen and with Recycle-a-Bicycle which gets unused bikes out of the garage and into the hands of those who need them. All KHSD employees can receive a Bike Bakersfield member for just $10, regular $25! Their membership includes local business discounts as well as ONE FREE education class or workshop per year. You are encouraged to use your KHSD email when purchasing a membership, but do not need to.
