Patrick Sawyer

I have always been an active person either by enjoying activities such as swimming, playing rugby, hiking, lifting weights, doing CrossFit and coaching many sports. When KHSD had our first Wellness challenge at Centennial High School I was so excited to participate! I thought that our group was going to kill it; rather it almost killed me. I came home that night and realized that I was an overweight, 40-year-old man that needed to make a drastic change in my life pattern. Otherwise, no good was going to come from it. The very next week I started eating healthy, running, training and doing more than I ever did before. Since that moment, I have lost 30+lbs and have the energy level that I once had when I was 20. I am an Ambassador because I love to share my past, present, and future with all that are willing to listen so that they can also make healthy lifestyle changes. It’s not just about working out, being active or eating correctly; It’s a combination of them all.

Ever Forward! – Patrick
